Do You Know Where Your Data Is?
In this session, we will talk about the importance of data health. Over the course of the years, there are thousands of data items added to the recording system. Additional backfile indexing and redaction projects add loads of index and image data, and the recorder’s office does not have time to look at each individual document to verify the correctness of this data. Manatron will share their insight and suggestions on the importance of data integrity. Based on our experience and illustrated with a few case studies, the focus will be on some key points such as: orphan records/images, documents with no images, gaps in instrument numbers, document counts by book and page, and any other item the attendees want to talk about. The course will serve two main purposes: how to check the system for data integrity problems and how the issues can be fixed if identified.
