KALAMAZOO, MI--(PR NEWSWIRE) — January 29, 2007 - Manatron, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANA) a leading provider of software products and services for state and local governments, including its Government Revenue Management® (GRM®) software, announced that it has received a contract from the Minnesota Association of County Auditors, Treasurers, Auditors and Finance Officers (MACATFO) for its eGovernment software solution. The agreement with MACATFO is a volume purchase agreement that will enable individual counties in the state of Minnesota to enroll in a centralized, state-wide implementation of Manatron’s on-line property tax collection package, CollectMax.
Members of MACATFO consist of County Auditors, Treasurers, Finance Officers or any individual designated by the county to perform the functions of these offices. MACATFO is a subgroup of the Minnesota Association of County Officers (MACO), which has members from all 87 counties. MACO was formed to promote state-wide uniformity in practices and procedures of county officers so that the public can rely on similar treatment throughout the state. Members of MACO are committed to cooperative efforts within county government, respectful treatment of everyone they do business with, and providing great service to the citizens of each county in Minnesota.
Manatron eGovernment provides e-commerce features that facilitate access to public information by taxpayers, industry professionals and other businesses that use property data in their daily course of business. With eGovernment Internet access, these important constituents can review current, formatted information relevant to their needs without leaving their home or office -- twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. CollectMax is a highly secure solution that allows taxpayers to pay property and other taxes using the Internet.
Mary Fisher, Sibley County Treasurer and MACATFO Online Payments Chairperson commented, “Manatron was selected through an RFP process in late 2006 and MACATFO is excited to have signed a contract with Manatron for our statewide online property tax payment application. One of the key features of this application is to allow our taxpayers to make a single payment to multiple counties in one transaction. By implementing a statewide portal, this will be easily achieved and be a great service to our taxpayers. We look forward to the implementation of this software in 2007, as well as the additional features and enhancements that will be added in the future. ”
"We have made significant investments in our eGovernment products over the last several years to add functionality and utilize the latest technology,” said Paul Sylvester, Manatron’s Chief Executive Officer. “This win fits nicely with our GRM Tax solution that is currently in process of being implemented in 28 counties as a result of the significant new contract that was awarded to us by the Minnesota Counties Computer Cooperative (MCCC) a little over one year ago. Minnesota is clearly becoming one of our key markets and we are excited about the opportunity to partner with MACATFO and provide our high quality tax payment solution to the citizens of that state.”
