PORTAGE, MI — May 5, 2008 - Manatron, Inc. the nation’s leading provider of integrated, enterprise-level property tax solutions for state and local governments announced the implementation of eGovernment on-line services for the Minnesota Association of County Auditors, Treasurers and Finance Officers (MACATFO).
For this project, Manatron implemented a centralized, state-wide version of its eGovernment solution allowing individual MACATFO member counties ownership of customized websites for collecting property taxes on-line. With its unique content management tools, Manatron’s eGovernment solution provides each county the ability to control the look, feel and content of their specific site. One key element of this implementation is the development of the Manatron “Shopping Cart”, providing tax payers the ability to complete transactions for multiple properties across multiple jurisdictions in one single payment.
"By offering online property tax information and payment options, Sibley County has been able to greatly improve our customer service," said Mary Fisher, Sibley County Treasurer. "By providing a link directly from the Sibley County website, the Manatron solution has been a great enhancement to the online services we are able to offer. Our customers are able to do business when it is more convenient for them, getting the same information and service they would receive when visiting or calling our office during regular business hours."
The MACATFO eGovernment solution works with the counties' incumbent tax, billing, & collections system. "With the implementation of the Manatron eGovernment solution, Waseca County has recently seen a drastic decrease in phone calls," said Waseca County Treasurer, Joyce Oliver. "Not only is the web site convenient and user friendly for our taxpayers, the real estate and banking world is using it regularly to look up information they need to do their work. It’s a win/win situation."
“The MACATFO implementation is key to the ongoing success of our eGovernment solution,” said Bill McKinzie, Manatron President and CEO. “We have invested strongly in this solution and our eGovernment development team has worked hard to create many new and innovative features that make this solution one of the best available on the market. We are pleased to partner with MACATFO and look forward to serving them for many years to come.”
