Located in the greater Jacksonville area, nestled along the banks of the St. Johns River, Clay County Florida is  one of the fastest growing counties in the State of Florida – with a growth rate of approximately 4% annually. With a population of 170,000, the county has experienced rapid change and growth in recent years.

Clay County Tax Collector, The Honorable Jimmy Weeks and his staff, strive daily to provide their constituents with solid, professional service. As the public demand for faster services and access to more information has increased, Weeks’ office has worked hard to upgrade the technology running with in their four county offices. In fact, the county is proudly recognized in the top 20 percentile of Florida Tax Collectors to offer automated services. When the time came to upgrade their tax collection software, Clay County knew they needed a leader in the technology industry. Clay County chose Manatron.

“Clay County selected Manatron after an extensive review of available software solutions in the State of Florida,” said Assistant Tax Collector, Wayne Johns. “We wanted to buy from the best and Manatron’s prolonged success in this market made them the obvious choice.”

The Clay County Tax Collector’s office had outgrown its old system and knew the system would not be able to handle the growth and change the county was experiencing. The County went live on the Manatron system in June of 2007. Since the implementation of the new system, the Tax Collector’s office has experienced better efficiencies and synergies than ever before.

“The Manatron system is very robust and as we continue to use the software, we look forward to the additional capabilities it will offer our office,” added Johns.

“Clay County is proud to be a part of the Manatron family and the large network of users, with the knowledge and support they bring,” said Weeks. “No other vendor in the State of Florida has that type of breadth.”
