KALAMAZOO, MI--(PR NEWSWIRE) — January 31, 2008 - Manatron, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANA) the nation’s leading provider of integrated, enterprise-level property tax solutions for state and local governments announced that the Oconee County, South Carolina Tax Assessor’s Office has gone live on Manatron CAMA. This project included integration of Manatron’s CAMA software to other critical County business processes, such as their Geographical Information System (GIS), permitting, work order management, and tax billing and collection.
“For many years our legacy system served us quite well,” said Leslie Smith, Oconee County Tax Assessor. “However, due to massive growth and the increased complexity of appraisals required in Oconee County, we felt it was imperative that we have a modern computer assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) solution in place prior to our next reassessment program. We are confident that the tools made available to us by Manatron will not only result in a more accurate reappraisal process, but increase the overall efficiency of our operation.”
“We are very pleased to have Oconee County live on Manatron CAMA,” said Bill McKinzie, Manatron’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Both the County and Manatron staff worked diligently to make this happen and their efforts are much appreciated. This implementation reflects Manatron’s momentum in the South Carolina market, which we anticipate will continue as we move forward.”
