KALAMAZOO, MI - November 10, 2006 - Manatron, Inc.(Nasdaq:MANA), a leading provider of software products and services for State and local governments, including its Government Revenue Management® (GRM®) software, announced that it has been expanding its presence in Oregon. Manatron recently completed the implementations of its CAMA software in Crook, Gilliam, Lake, and Wheeler counties and is currently in the process of implementing its Property Tax software (Manatron Ascend®) in the same four locations. Upon completion, these counties will have a modern, integrated assessment and taxation solution, which will assist them in serving their constituents in a much more efficient manner.
Manatron CAMA is an innovative, comprehensive GRM property appraisal software product. It features a highly productive, integrated sketch package and an extremely accurate valuation engine for calculating property values. It is a widely deployed and nationally recognized CAMA software product that is running in over 300 jurisdictions in 19 states and two Canadian territories. Manatron CAMA offers all the traditional approaches to value; including the cost, market and income approaches, while conforming to strict national and international standards. It also features hearing scheduling and certified roll processing and maintenance, while adhering to the CAMA business rules that have been developed and refined over the past 30 years.
Manatron Ascend is a powerful and flexible property tax billing and collection solution for tax collection officials. Manatron Ascend provides the functionality to maintain, bill, collect, distribute and track property accounts and associated taxes. Built on the Microsoft platform, Ascend allows tax collectors the ability to manage real and personal property, manufactured structures, motor vehicles and special assessments. Manatron acquired the Ascend product in connection with its acquisition of ASIX on February 1, 2006. ASIX is located in Bellevue, Washington.
"It made sense to pursue additional business in Oregon, given that Manatron and ASIX had jointly sold an integrated Tax and CAMA solution to Benton, Clackamas and Lane, three of the larger counties in that state prior to our acquisition of ASIX," said Paul Sylvester, Manatron's Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Adding Crook, Gilliam, Lake and Wheeler counties to our list of successful clients reinforces our momentum in Oregon. These efforts demonstrate our commitment to provide an integrated Tax and CAMA solution in the Western United States."
"Our market research indicates that many of the 36 counties in Oregon are using outdated software and are looking for a new integrated solution," said Bill McKinzie, Manatron's President and Chief Operating Officer. "The addition of Crook, Gilliam, Lake and Wheeler makes Manatron one of the largest software providers in Oregon and will greatly improve our position to add additional clients in that state."
