2. Is the Manatron interface open to all submitters?
Yes. Manatron does not have any exclusionary relationships that prohibit any submitter from sending electronic documents to Manatron counties. However, participation in eRecording is subject to County policy.

3. Is the interface proprietary?
No. Manatron uses a standard, published interface for all Manatron counties available on this site for downloading.

4. How do XML standards handle special characters?
Manatron uses Web Services and a standard SOAP interface for all submitters. Manatron utilizes a secured 128 bit encrypted connection (Secure Socket Layer) for all transactions.

5. What delivery method does the Manatron eRecording system use?
Most characters, or anything other than a number or letter, is handled automatically by XML. However, there are a few XML reserved characters that cannot be used directly in XML element or attribute data, but must be replaced by XML Entity References. The following table shows the reserved character with the corresponding XML Entity reference it must be replaced by.

6. Is the interface for every county different?
No. Manatron uses the same interface for every county.

7. Does Manatron charge submitters a fee to eRecord?
No. Manatron does not assess any per document fee or subscription to participate in a county's eRecording program.

8. Does Manatron charge for submitter support?
Manatron reserves the right to assess a reasonable fee for support of new submitters. However, a submitter can elect to participate in an alliance agreement with Manatron. For more information contact our customer support center at 866-917-4354, option 2 or rmsupport@manatron.com.

9. Does Manatron support PRIA DTD 2.4?
Manatron currently supports PRIA DTD 2.4.1 and is working on support for 2.4.2.

10. What eRecording document levels does Manatron support?
Manatron currently supports Levels 1, 2 and 3 (provided they are converted to a TIFF image prior to transmission). Smart documents (XHTML documents) will be supported in the next maintenance release of the eRecording software.

11. What methods of payment does Manatron support?
Currently, Manatron supports the use of an escrow or voucher account at the County level as well as ACH. Credit Cards and other payment methods will be supported in a maintenance release of the eRecording software.
