Manatron’s solution for properly identifying and redacting confidential information on millions of images is based on a combination of highly advanced redaction software and a thorough and efficient manual validation process. The redaction software identifies all potential redactable regions across various document types and categorizes the images by instrument typed and confidence level. Manatron coordinates all potential redaction candidates and assists in fine tuning of the selection and “grading” criteria across document types and date ranges to ensure the highest possible accuracy.

Manatron’s validation staff is made up of well-trained, highly qualified individuals (Verification Specialists) with expertise in using the redaction software and in reviewing official public records. The specialists will support the redaction software by fine-tuning each image according to the regions the redaction software has selected to ensure the highest level of clarity, quality and accuracy.
The Manatron staff will review:
• Certain images for which no redactable regions were identified by the software (especially for instrument types known for high incidences of personal information)
• Batches utilizing either a standard single-pass approach or an optional “blind” double-pass (where two separate verification specialist can review the same image independently, increasing the quality and accuracy of the redaction services).
Any discrepancies found among verifiers or other issues on a document will cause the image to be passed to a supervisor for final review. Upon the completion of that review, the redacted images will be delivered to the County for final acceptance.
